knocked out...
knox session with da and san. =)
well before i really get knocked out to keep forgetting to update my blog for ages since 28may (yes i know its half way past june) let me just have a short update. =)
been working like mad for the past 2 weeks. at first i immediately quite regret on taking up this 'dirty job' to help with the packing of the school after they shifted. packing science labs, library and the dear mosquito-infested art room. setting up of equipments, tons of cleaning and shifting of approximately hundred boxes to clear up and arranging everything in the store, labs and library. well at least i get free exercise and so on but at the same time learn more about chemicals and so on which is going to prepare me for my future lab sessions where i will be stuck in the lab doing a 4 hour fractional distillation. gah. but at least well i understand the running of typical science laboratories and getting to know more people around the school. not forgetting all the bruises, blisters and cuts which i had suffered throughout these 2 weeks. mass taking off for my driving lessons this week! =) hoping that i will get those better instructors from my group and not the AP or the slack one who made me go around the circuit for n times. one hand driving is cool. =)
think i have been too concerned about how i look and so on after relief teaching. been trying to avoid students everywhere i go and even during my work back at the school. meeting them everywhere and anywhere, cant have them see me with my guy friends and working as a temp staff instead of a teacher, how i really look and portray myself in front of them. know its like so superficial to try and keep that good impression of them, but i just can't help trying to avoid them. guess it will soon take some time to get over this then. how superficial i am.
the previous pre-session2 for the curls thingie we did capsize drill and that though sounds interesting but trust me its not a good experience with water rushing through your nose and it hurts. my sandals fell off and i suffered a cut on my leg with a slight sprain. gah. but well at least i did complete the drill with cindy given that my dear beneficialry didn't come and then there are more volunteers this time round. had a great time kayaking with my group leader when i basically froze him with my cold jokes haha and we did a short expedition around the kelong with us trying to get as far as possible from it and also splashing water at each other on the way. =) the instructor this time round was more engaging and fun to talk to where he will try and interact more with us on the way. =) the games were pretty engaging this time around too especially the paired captains ball game where 2 people are tied up at their legs to form a pair and hence this needs great coordination and teamwork to score goals. my group won overall with those enthusiastic beneficialries especially our star players. =) this session also helped us the volunteers to bond better with one another especially for us with people of slight age difference. at least now we are much more comfortable with each other around and crapping as usual, bombing each other with cold jokes. heh heh. =)
then the usual meeting ups to do during weekends especially for my guitar peeps! had a fun and tiring kbox session with sandra and davina when dear da chose all the rainie songs to kill us off and we swam! sadly it rained. but nevertheless kbox sessions are fun when everyone gets high and it doesn't matter if we sing out of tune or what haha. just having fun though its kind of dampened by smokers smoking outside our room. i hate smokers. i wonder what they enjoy as their lungs deteriorates every breath that they take. to relieve stress and so on maybe just an excuse for them to puff on. and back to the steamboat at da's house where we got the guys along. it may not be as heartwarming as previous session as the guys are engaged in their ns talks while the girls are just as usual and everyone seemed too tired out by their own schedule or rather just lost touch in trying to feel more comfortable with each other but nevertheless, at least such gatherings are still a must to try and keep in contact. so the next round someone please volunteer to organise while i shall take a break from this. =)
and think world cup syndrome caught up with many of us with the betting and watching of matches since they are scheduled at 9,12,3. all in the night which means i can only catch the 9pm one via the m'sia channel or indo channel. still supporting my favourite team brazil! their wins so far has at least managed them into the last 16 woohoo! but also not forgetting to support the asian teams who are trying their best to stay in this world cup finals. though it feels kind of time-wasting to watch 22players + 1 referee chasing after the ball, but at least it shows the teamwork and tactics/skills of the players in providing the climax during the 90minute game. great goals great saves. and well-known players have not been scoring recently. gah.
well having my final theory evaluation tomorrow and its been ages since i touched my book. omg. wish me luck then. =)
